GROUP HISTORY
Mike Mastrolia – Lead
Singer (AKA “THE ACAPELLA KID”)
Started singing in the late 50’s as a
member of “The Fortells”. At age 16 recorded an album on the Catamount
label. Sang lead with “The
Veneers”, “Hearts Desire”, ”The Versatiles”, and “Sentimental
Reasons”. With “Memories Of You” since 1999 as a founding original
member. Originally from Jersey
City, New Jersey and currently resides in central New Jersey.
Recorded original doo-wop music with “The
Invictas” in 1959, associated with the Mohawk/Laurie record label. With
“Memories Of You” since 1999 as a founding original member.
Has played keyboards and provided musical arrangements and original music
for many Jazz and Rock bands. Originally
from the Bronx, NY and currently resides in Rockland County, New York.
Started singing in 1960 with the
“Possessions”, who recorded “No More Love”.
This record was number one on the “Murray The K” show beating out
Dean Martins’ theme “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometimes”.
Vito from “Vito And The Salutations” managed the Possessions.
Went on to sing with the “Veneers”, the “Versatiles”, and
“Sentimental Reasons”. Currently from Linden, New Jersey.
Paul Luchetti – Baritone
Started singing in the late 1950’s with
The Trylons and recorded “Wish I Had An Angel”.
Paul has sung with several groups and has also done back up vocals on
several recordings. While he was
living in Florida from 2001 to 2004 he sang with the nationally acclaimed group
“The Five Boroughs”. Pal has been with “Memories Of You”, since 2006.
Originally from Queens, NY, Paul now lives in Fairfield County,
Connecticut.
Has performed a broad range of oldies and
popular music over the past 40 years. He’s
entertained audiences with both all male and coed groups including Make Believe
and Steppin’ Out prior to joining Memories Of You.
A resident of Wayne, NJ, Pete is a long time member of both the United In
Group Harmony Association and the Barbershop Harmony Society.
